Artwork guidelines for offset full color process printing

Any artwork supplied for full color process printing needs to be in an image tif or jpg CMYK bitmap format file to ensure proper reproduction, this type of print process is at 200 line screen with FM screening, to ensure proper file output the file resolution should be at least 300 dpi, solid areas of black imprint should be set to rich black values C=60% M=40% Y=40% K=100%. When using a blue in your design, always make sure to leave at least a 30% difference in your Cyan and Magenta values, blue is close to purple in the CMYK spectrum use a low amount of magenta (-30%) whenever using high amounts of cyan to avoid purple. If your booklet, catalog or manual artwork bleeds it will require to add 1/8" extra imprint area to each side for trim and all text must be 1/8" minimum from the cut edge.
